Individualized Learning
The KUMON method emphasizes individualized self-learning. Each student works at a level and pace most suitable for him/her.  Learning abilities vary among children; some are faster or slower than others.  KUMON can accommodate all abilities and age groups, inspiring children to reach their full potential.

Comfortable Starting Point
When students enroll in the KUMON program, they are given an appropriate placement test.  After evaluation of the test, a comfortable starting point is assigned. KUMON study begins at just the right level, allowing immediate success and building confidence in Math and Reading.

Repeat and Practice
The KUMON method assures mastery through repeated practice.  Repetition of similar problems within a level will ensure the student’s thorough understanding and proficiency in Math and Reading skills.

Standard Completion Time
Students must complete the worksheets within the Standard Completion Time before continuing to the next level.  This further ensures comprehension of concepts and principles, therefore assuring efficiency in higher level work.

Self Learning
The KUMON method encourages students to think for themselves.  The worksheets are designed to allow students to progress smoothly through the system as the level of difficulty gradually increases.  Through this system, students learn to depend on themselves.  This is the key to self-learning.
